speedy rant from Wombat of the Copier
The semester started six years ago. How many more e-mails do I have to answer about access codes
for PublisherMinus before I'm allowed to just respond in snarky hashtags?
That rather matches my feelings, the semesters seem to grow longer as I get older. But if you try snarky, they run crying to the dean. They won't pass if they haven't had a look around the reading materials yet, so just smile an evil smile as you answer....
Trying not to out myself by using a made up name for the service - but Jesus Christ, if PublisherMinus goes down for one more f***ing minute this week, I'll lose my mind.
Time for a cut and paste response, preferably from the syllabus (prefaced by "as the syllabus says" if you're feeling brave/confrontational), I think.
That won't, of course, solve the outage problem. I suppose one could write a more sympathetic cut and paste response for that (to the students, of course; any message to the company should be to the effect that your school is considering another vendor -- see textbook committee, above).

ReplyDeleteI love my new crappy graphic, btw, thanks :)
