"A new solar generating plant – Stanford’s second – announced today, will enable the university to use 100 percent renewable electricity in three years, more than two decades ahead of California’s goal of a carbon-free grid by 2045."

    2. Howdy. Oh, doing okay. Following my wife around the country, desert to swampy south, then southwest, now pacific nw. all in 4 years. teaching part time because I had a full time gig the past 3 years and it killed my already infirm spirit. 1 or 2 classes and I can still breathe. but last year, for example, I had a full load and it just consumed me. my nerves were shot, and I just hated myself and my profession more than was tolerable. I'm very fortunate that I can usually snag a class or two - and that my wife makes a private sector wage. I know I'm lucky. but health has been okay, I love my wife and pals, and I do have gluten free cookies to even me out.

  2. 100% solar. That is so cool.

Maybe we could make Cal 100% solar, too.
    :-)

    1. I have a great deal of surface on my big bald head, so I'm partially run by the sun already.
