Harvard University sued over single-sex club crackdown [BBC]

The flava:
A number of sororities and fraternities filed lawsuits on Monday challenging a policy Harvard adopted in 2016.

Under the policy, students who join single-sex clubs cannot receive endorsement letters from college deans for postgraduate fellowships.

Harvard said the aim was to help end practices of exclusion at the school.

  1. Geez, I graduated from a whole single-sex college. I was also a Girl Scout for eleven years. Went to an all-girls summer camp. Sang in all-female choral groups. Accepted awards that were specifically designated for females. Dear me—should I be worried that I was breaking laws or committing "practices of exclusion"?

Harvard may be a university full of very smart people, but this is not a very smart policy.
